having curly hair in an indian household when your mother has straight hair is having casually cruel comments thrown at your face like - Your hair looks like a beggar's, your hair is not actually that curly you just use the products to make it that curly, comparison with every single curly haired person on the planet, telling me to stop being snobby when i don't allow people to touch my hair (I'm really not being snobby). like girl??? i shouldn't have had to learn how to love an integral part of my identity if YOU had taught me it was okay first. It IS your fault for having straight hair and not bothering to take care of your daughter's curly hair.
